Arriving... One Shot Istanbul

Here in Istanbul since august 9th.
Landed, had a day to acclimatize, then started to scan immediately on the following day. Spent most of the week in meetings with various companies looking for further funding. All well.. we now have GAP sponsoring part of the show, Epson will be printing the show, ProMat offered to print the book but still looking for sponsors for paper and ink and other costs. The swedish consulate had already generously taken care of travel and hotel costs, thank you very much for very needed funds!
The show will go up on the 17th of september... although we are all scrambling to make it happen... Contemporary Istanbul has shown a commitment I have rarely experienced before... they are working day and night to make it happen with Emin Mahir and Cigdem spearheading the project. I am so grateful and are having a great time here in Istanbul at a point where I would normally freak out when there is less than three weeks before the opening and No images have been printed so far.
I learned the other day at lunch with Emin Mahir that the turkish people can and have achieved the impossible but often overlook the possible... so just waiting for the moment when this project is starting to seem... hmmm impossible!
